Why Remove a Tree?
Signs Tree Removal is the Right Choice
Most people don’t search for tree removal unless something feels off. A tree may have shifted after a storm, started dropping large limbs, or begun to threaten a home, parking lot, or neighboring property. For both homeowners and commercial property owners, knowing when trimming isn’t enough—and removal is the safer option—can help prevent costly damage and safety risks.
Common signs include:
- Dead or dying trees
- Trees leaning toward a home or building
- Cracked trunks or exposed roots
- Storm-damaged trees dropping large limbs
- Trees interfering with structures, driveways, or property lines

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if a tree needs to be removed instead of trimmed?
If the tree is dead, leaning significantly, cracked, or dropping large limbs, removal is often the safest option. We assess each tree and explain your options clearly.
Can you remove a tree close to my house or fence?
Yes. We regularly remove trees in tight spaces using controlled cutting techniques and professional equipment to protect surrounding structures.
Do you clean up and haul away everything?
Yes. All tree removal jobs include full cleanup, debris hauling, and leaving your property clear and safe.
What should I do if a storm damaged a tree but it hasn’t fallen yet?
Storm-damaged trees can be unpredictable. If limbs are hanging or the tree shifted suddenly, it’s best to have it evaluated right away.

After heavy storms damaged several backyard trees and limbs hung over neighbors' yards, several neighbors highly recommended Midwest Tree. Even though extremely busy, Mark took the time the same day I called to provide a free estimate. Mark and his awesome crew came late the same afternoon and worked into the evening and early the next morning to remove 3 large trees and 2 more small trees and then later a broken limb from another tree. All were courteous, efficient and worked as clean as they could given the recent rains. I would highly recommend Midwest Tree, Mark and his crew!

Very well done. The large Silver Maple they cut down was rotting and hung over the house and power lines. With the pending storms in four days that were forecast to bring ice, strong winds, and over 4” of snow, Midwest Tree opened an appointment in their schedule to come and take down this tree. They did an exceptional job and brought the right tools and personnel to do the job carefully, in a timely manner, and at a price point that was very reasonable. I submit Midwest Tree to anyone looking for a quality tree service that will bring their A Game to the job site.

Midwest tree crew was removing storm debris from my neighbors house. I was trimming some of my trees in my yard… I didn’t even ask, the guys just told me to put all my tree branches in their pile and took care of it… saved me a lot of time and travel to the local dump to get rid of those branches. That’s customer service there. The neighbor said they did an amazing job. Professional, clean and timely. Thank you!!!

Midwest Tree removed two very large nuisance trees in my backyard. They did an absolutely awesome job, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The crew was friendly, polite, hard-working, and professional, and they did an amazing job cleaning up, as well. They have all the equipment and experience necessary to handle any of your tree needs. I definitely recommend Midwest Tree.
